Discover the unique creative heartbeat of our region at the New Town Theatre Company. Standing alone as the only workshop of its kind in the surrounding areas, this program provides a dedicated weekly environment where adults aged 18 and over can truly immerse themselves in the craft of theatre. We operate as a collaborative ensemble, bringing together individuals from all walks of life, from seasoned performers to those just discovering their artistic voice, to build essential stage skills in a supportive, professional atmosphere.
Our Company is more than just a training ground; it is a vital incubator for modern performance. Members have the opportunity to participate in the development of brand-new theatrical works and professional commissions for external organisations, playing an active role in the creative lifecycle of a production. By joining this ensemble, you become part of a movement that prioritises the collective, where peers support each other's work and contribute to a flourishing culture of shared artistic growth. Whether we are crafting original storytelling from scratch or fulfilling high-level artistic mandates, New Town Theatre Company ensures every member has a seat at the table.
We gather every Thursday from 19:00 - 21:00. You don’t need a specialised background to join us, only a commitment to the ensemble and an open mind! Step into a community that nurtures internal member projects and external professional works alike, establishing New Town Theatre as a premier hub for collaborative excellence and contemporary theatrical exploration.
